JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Title: Head of Product Delivery Employment Type: Permanent Work Location: Johannesburg JOB CONTEXT: As the Head of Product Delivery, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful and timely delivery of our products, meeting, or exceeding client expectations. This leadership position involves strategic decision-making to run the Product Delivery department effectively, while prioritizing client satisfaction and adherence to timelines and budgets. The Head of Product Delivery role is an exciting opportunity for a strategic leader to shape the direction of our product delivery function and contributes to the overall success of our projects and client relationships. Strategic Leadership: Lead and oversee the Product Delivery department, making strategic decisions to ensure the successful delivery of products. Work closely with the Head of Engineering to align product delivery with technical capabilities and timelines. 2. Client Commitment: Live up to the commitments made to clients, ensuring that promises are fulfilled, and client expectations are met. Prioritize client satisfaction and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders. 3. Timely and Budgeted Delivery: Take ownership of project timelines and budgets, ensuring that products are delivered on time and within the agreed-upon financial parameters. Implement effective project management methodologies to achieve delivery excellence. 4. Client Happiness: Measure and prioritize client happiness, actively seeking feedback and implementing improvements based on client satisfaction surveys. Implement strategies to exceed client expectations in terms of product quality and service delivery. 5. Departmental Autonomy: Decide and implement how the Product Delivery department is run, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and efficiency. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align product delivery strategies with overall business objectives. 6. Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Product Delivery team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Collaborate with the Head of Engineering to ensure seamless coordination between engineering and product delivery teams. 7. Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to guarantee that delivered products meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations. 8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in product delivery processes, methodologies, and tools. Foster a culture of innovation and proactively seek ways to enhance delivery efficiency. CRITICAL COMPETENCIES: Proven experience in a leadership role within product delivery or project management. Strong understanding of product development methodologies and project management principles. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Client-centric mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. Strategic thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions. PACKAGE & REMUNERATION: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, applicable experience, and previous earnings.
