JOB TITLE: HEAD: REGIONS - 12 Months Fixed-Term Contract PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The role will report to the Executive Manager: Direct Lending. The candidate will provide effective leadership to Regional Managers in their respective Regions in fulfilling sefa mandate and meet its strategic objectives and goals. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: The incumbent will be reporting to the Executive- Direct Lending, which requires a pro-active facilitator to drive the implementation of the strategic objectives through regional levels. Actively managing the implementation of the sefa Direct Lending strategy through the regions and ensuring that all the deliverables are achieved including annual lending targets, business development and development impact. The incumbent will be responsible for: Integrating and driving the delivery of a sustainable value proposition for all products in the regions; Driving results through Regional Offices, in line with sefa's annual lending and development impact targets; Overseeing the performance of the regional offices and pro-actively identifying business development opportunities in line with the key priorities of the developmental market; Ensuring regular support to Regional Offices in fostering relationships with provincial government and key stakeholders; Monitoring and managing deal flow and compliance in line with sefa Credit policy; Providing technical support and advisory services to Regional Managers; Supporting Regional Offices, with implementing and improving the customer service levels; Conducting regular regional development and impact assessments, and provide guidance on addressing relevant issues per region; Facilitating sound working partnerships with core internal stakeholders (Legal and Credit) related to the deal flow processes, without compromising risks and the quality of lending; Facilitating capacity management in regions, to optimise productivity levels and continuous growth in sales; Managing financial and human resources, in accordance with sefa budgetary and human resource guidelines; Preparing concise and accurate reports on Investment and credit loan approvals; Developing and co-ordinating the implementation of sefa regional strategies, in line with approved targets; Providing leadership and guidance to Regional Managers in their respective regions; Providing leadership in the setting up / reviewing for improvement programmes, products, collaboration and co-funding initiatives; Ensuring effectiveness of customer service initiatives and improvement of overall sefa clients experience; Extensive travel to regional offices including client site visits to optimise client centricity culture. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor of Commerce Degree, preferable in Financial Management or Accounting A Post Graduate Degree would be an added advantage. At least 5-10 years' experience in a Senior Management position, within the SME/ development finance sector. Sound deal making, due diligence, financial model review and team management experience required.
