HE Sales Consultant: Gauteng (Permanent Position) Oxford University Press is recruiting for a dynamic and results-orientated Sales Consultant to join the Higher Education sales team to promote and sell offerings to the HE market, booksellers, and other customers to meet sales targets. The successful candidate will be required to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners in the education sector, booksellers, and other service providers, while embodying the organisation’s values and ethical principles. The HE Sales Consultant will report to the HE Sales Manager. This post is based in the Midrand, Gauteng. Principal Accountabilities: Achieve sales targets of titles and offers and increase market share. Understanding Oxford University Press’s position in the market. Develop and implement yearly, monthly, and weekly sales plans for allocated territories. Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners. Qualifications and Experience: Relevant working experience in sales Relevant National Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing or Education Strong business and commercial acumen Strong negotiation skills and problem solving Able to maintain and foster business relationships Experience in publishing environment including both print and digital would be advantageous Excellent interpersonal, organisational, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills Experience in data analytics and CRM Willingness to travel regularly Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle essential Attributes: Action and delivery oriented Shows resilience and commitment Problem solver Positive attitude Deadline-driven Presentation skills Displays ethical behaviour Supports teamwork and empowers others to achieve their objectives OUP offers the following: Remuneration commensurate with experience Pension and medical aid benefits Statutory leave Training opportunities Engaging work in a rewarding and ethical environment.
