Primary responsibility of keeping people safe, to always be reliable, honest, trustworthy and passionate. To operate the company vehicle in a safety oriented manner when escorting occupants to desired destinations on time Drop off, pickups, deliveries and collections as and when required Arrive at destinations on schedule Assist occupants in & out of vehicle Carrying out vehicle maintenance checks (including services, tyres and faults) and reporting of information timeously Maintenance of fleet vehicles and navigation devices Keeping the vehicle and interior clean and tidy (clean seats, steering wheel and carpets etc.) Maintain a professional personal appearance & demeanor. Our Drivers are the day to day representatives of our business Our Drivers need to have the ability to operate in a demanding environment, and be committed to skills development Matric / Grade 12 3 years security driving experience – people, not products Experience with a variety of vehicle types, such as cars, trucks and delivery vans Clean driving record and extensive knowledge of traffic laws NO fines/outstanding fines and accident record - this will be verified Required to complete a Practical Driving Assessment Ability to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues and knowledge of vehicle maintenance Must reside within traveling distance to the site in Cape Town Extensive knowledge of the operating / geographic area in which you are working, including major sites, airport logistics and alternative travel routes Computer literate Must have an understanding of administrative procedures and report writing A mobile phone is a necessity Effective business telephone etiquette Clear criminal & financial history Willing to undergo criminal checks regularly Must be physically fit and in good health Ability to pass a vision exam Communication and organisational skills Punctuality Customer service skills A commitment to safety Ability to work independently Flexible schedule - willing to work long / flexible hours, weekends and night shift Advanced driving and Anti-Hijack Prevention, Skid Control; Collision Avoidance & Defensive Driving training advantageous License/Certification: PSIRA Grade C or higher (Advantageous) Valid Driver's licence & PDP (Required) First Aid Level One (Advantageous) Market related
