Reference: JHB003602-RM-2 To manage and control all aspects of the Complex Hotel Operations to the required Standards within the agreed budgetary limits and parameters, and ensuring guest satisfaction and profit maximization. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. To manage the Hotel Operations function and to develop policies and procedures designed to satisfy customer needs and to maximize profitability and return on investment. 2. Design, develop, implement and evaluate strategies for Hotel Operations for approval. 3. Develop Hotel Operating Services policies and procedures and ensure the implementation thereof. 4. Ensure that all Hotel Operating Services are costed and priced. 5. Implement cost controls and co-ordinate the budgeting process for all areas in the Operating Services function and motivate and control Capex budget for the division. 6. Co-ordinate sales and revenue figures for all areas under the Hotel Operations Services Division 7. Ensure that Guest Satisfaction is established and maintained by the staff of the Rooms Division. 8. Identify and implement staff training schemes and conduct regular performance appraisals and ensure operating standards of the hotel are achieved. 9. Responsible for all guest queries including collecting, reviewing, summarizing, and proposing corrective action. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 1. Hotel School Management Diploma or equivalent. 2. Management Development qualification would be an added advantage. 3. 5 years as Hotel Manager or Resident Manager of 200 Room Hotel. 4. Exceptional interpersonal skills will be a requirement. 5. Above average planning and organizing skills will be essential. 6. Well-established Management and Financial skills including business acumen will be a job requirement.
