HR / ADMIN OFFICER We are assisting our client in the recruitment of an HR & Admin Officer this position is available within the HR Team. Preference will be given to individuals from designated groups in line with the provisions of the Employment Equity Act, No. 55 of 1998 (and any amendments thereto), the relevant internal recruitment policy as well as the Company’s Employment Equity plans. The successful incumbent will report to the Snr HR Administrator. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 or equivalent. Related tertiary qualification would be preferred. Computer literacy in MS Office with previous experience in Accsys HR & Payroll software being an advantage. Driver’s license. Strong administrative skills are essential with excellent knowledge of various HR functions such as pay & benefits, recruitment, onboarding, training & development, disciplinary proceedings & exits. Attention to detail focussed/assertive/organised/accurate & well spoken. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Must be able to work independently and apply logic. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at various employee / managerial levels as well as in large groups. Problem-solver. Must be fluent in Xhosa. Good decision-making skills. Strong ethical standards. EXPERIENCE At least 5 years relevant practical HR (Generalist) experience of which 3 years to have been in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment. Experienced in labour relations and disciplinary proceedings. Sound understanding of SA employment laws. Sufficiently familiar with the requirements of EE Act to be able to assist in the co-ordination of company EE processes. Must have knowledge and previous experience in WSP/ATR requirements and SETA funding applications. Experience with coordinating training and development initiatives. Experienced in Recruitment and Selection. JOB DESCRIPTION Assist in the implementation of the overall company talent acquisition strategy. Provide support on company policies and procedures as well as legislation to operational departments. Provide support and assistance to operational departments in effecting consistent and fair disciplinary proceedings and assist with CCMA preparation. Maintaining employee records and paperwork to company standard. Assist with the co-ordination and arrangements regarding training programs ensuring that training is scheduled, service providers are paid, certificates received, training captured, and compliance registers updated. Ensure that all newly appointed members attend company orientation. Assist with the completion, co-ordination, and submission of WSP & ATR’s. Assist with SETA funding applications. Perform duties such as compiling absenteeism statistics and verification of leave records. Assist with retirement fund administration. Contribute towards achieving identified KPIs for HR department.
