Managing and maintaining human resources information systems (HRIS) One of the critical responsibilities of an HRIS & Analytics Manager is to oversee the management and maintenance of HRIS. This involves working closely with HR professionals to understand their jobs and configuring the system accordingly. You will be responsible for updating employee records, managing workflows, and ensuring that all relevant information is accurately captured in the system. By effectively managing the HRIS, you can streamline processes, increase efficiency, and enable seamless access to critical employee data. As an HRIS & Analytics Manager, you also play a crucial role in achieving business objectives and determining salaries. Analyzing data and generating reports for management and stakeholders Another crucial aspect of your role as an HRIS & Analytics Manager is analyzing data from the HRIS to generate insightful reports for management and stakeholders. By leveraging various reporting tools within the system, you can extract valuable metrics related to workforce demographics, performance evaluations, compensation trends, turnover rates, and more. These reports provide actionable insights that help inform strategic decision-making processes within the business. Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security within the HRIS Maintaining accurate and reliable data is essential for any successful HR function. As an HRIS & Analytics Manager, your responsibilities include ensuring all stored data’s accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Regularly auditing data entries for errors or inconsistencies will uphold database integrity. Prioritizing data security through access controls and encryption measures is crucial for safeguarding sensitive employee information. This role plays a vital part in the business’s HR operations, with salaries reflecting the importance of these responsibilities. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements To continuously improve the functionality of HRIS jobs and meet evolving business needs, collaboration with cross-functional teams is crucial for data integrity and quality. As an HRIS & Analytics Manager, you will work closely with IT professionals, HR business partners, and other stakeholders to identify system enhancements or new feature requirements that support various HR processes effectively. This collaborative approach ensures that the HRIS remains aligned with organizational goals and contributes to the overall success of the HR function by actively participating in project planning, testing, and implementation of system upgrades or integrations with salaries. Understand business needs and objectives Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting Define company-wide metrics and relevant data sources Select, configure and implement analytics solutions Lead and develop a team of data analysts Oversee all analytics operations to correct discrepancies and ensure quality Extract reports from multiple sources (e.g. operations, IT, customer feedback) Build systems to transform raw data into actionable business insights Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve performance Keep abreast of industry news and trends Supervising the day-to-day activities of our HR information systems. Recording and processing employee information including annual leave, salaries, and working hours. Supporting management on structural policy matters related to the HRIS. Maintaining data integrity in systems by regularly analyzing data. Working alongside the IT department to perform regular assessments and improvements to the HRIS. Designing user-friendly processes, guidelines, and documentation. Overseeing all system upgrades and system additions in partnership with the Information Technology (IT) department. Ensuring all HR-related systems are compliant with data protection laws. Education and Qualification (What is the minimum qualification or education that would be required for this role) bachelor’s degree in information systems, human resources, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years experience in an HRIS & Analytics Manager position. Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations. Practical experience with HR database administration, including payroll systems. Solid experience in data analysis and reporting; industry experience is a plus Background in market research and project management Knowledge of Excel, R and SQL; familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, SAS) Superb communication skills Analytical skills and strong organizational abilities Attention to detail Problem-solving aptitude Knowledge and Skill (what kind of knowledge and skill is required in this role – basic skills, technical skills, specialized, analytical) Proven work experience as an HRIS & Analytics Manager or similar role Ability to collaborate, provide technical support, and train staff Extensive experience in analyzing HRIS and HR performance metrics Advanced proficiency in database management and security, as well as running SQL queries Ability to keep up with technical innovation and trends in HRIS Analysis Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Experience in documenting processes, as well as performing diagnostic tests and audits • Relevant training and/or certifications as an HRIS & Analytics Manager• Problem Solving (What kind of problems is the incumbent likely to need to solve?)
