Our client, a well-known South African listed company, has an exciting & challenging opportunity available for a HSE (Health, Safety, & Environment Manager to provide comprehensive oversight, planning, coordination, & management of the company globally. Key Performance Areas: Develop, enhance, & implement comprehensive HSE policies & procedures Execute & maintain HSE plans Assess risk, adherence, & compliance with relevant legislation & policy Oversee, achieve, & maintain all relevant certifications & accreditations Drive continuous improvement Manage Department of Labour H&S inspections Establish, maintain, improve, & report on the company's HSE risk management policies & documentation Work closely with engineering teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning & execution Maintain accurate records of all incidents & near misses Analyse data to identify trends & areas for improvement Prepare & present regular safety reports to management Ensure contractor management & guidelines are in place Lead all safety workshops & meetings Requirements: BCom degree in Occupational Health & Safety, or similar 7 years' proven experience in HSE at a senior level, preferably in an engineering and/or the marine environment Experience / involvement in H&S systems implementation, & a keen understanding of operational & customer, supplier processes & requirements In-depth knowledge of health & safety regulations & best practices
