Our client, a prestigious turnkey engineering and steel fabrication company, seeks to employ a qualified and experienced with a solid background in the Engineering sector to join their team in Cape Town, on contract, for a night shift only role PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE IS A CONTRACTUAL ROLE REQUIRING THE CANDIDATE TO WORK ON NIGHT SHIFT. SACPCMP REGISTRATION ESSENTIAL, WITH A BACKGROUND IN POWER PLANT MAINTENANCE KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION You will have a tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, plus SACPCMP registration and 3-5 years experience managing safety within a power plant environment. You will have sound working knowledge of construction regulations, as well as a proven history in ensuring compliance and alignment with these standards You will provide support, direction and coaching to implement HSE programmes in workshops and project sites, as well as review client HSE policies and ensure all construction staff adhere to their standards. You will have experience in the preparation and participation of 3rd party audits, as well as be able to conduct internal safety audits and investigations You will have a solid history in incident investigation and the implementation of prompt corrective actions. You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record Please note that should you not be currently resident in the region and area advertised but still wish to apply, the cost of travel for interviews and relocation will be for your expense.
