HV Test Engineer- Renewable Energy - South Africa
Our client, a leading engineering company, with an arm in the renewable energy space, seeks to employ a HV Test Engineer, with a solid background in VFL or related cable testing, to join their projects team for offshore project deployment.
Please note that this role requires a solid background in Very Low Frequency cable or related testing, as well as a sound knowledge in the renewable energy sector, with the flexibility to travel extensively on deployment to offshore project sites.
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION
- You will have a tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, specifically HV, coupled with 3-5 years experience in VFL or related cable testing and installation
- You will have a solid understanding of project planning, site establishments, cable testing and maintenance, as well as material and sub-contractor management.
- You will have experience in project and contractual documentation, as well as providing leadership on site, with regards to HSE, maintenance, installation and overall client satisfaction at handover.
- The ability to travel extensively is essential
- You must have a valid drivers licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
