IFRS & Tax Compliance Specialist - Johannesburg
HireResolve has partnered with a Leading Insurance house based in Johannesburg who is looking for a Senior Manager in the Group Finance Division. The role requires an individual who is passionate about the technical application of IFRS and knowledge of Life Fund Tax is an added advantage. If you are looking for an opportunity where you can add value to an organisation - we would love to hear from you Responsibilities Ensure compliance with IFRS and tax laws and regulations Preparation of technical interpretation papers on IFRS Presentation and debate with external auditors Technical argument papers to Group Audit Supporting business with technical accounting matters Assistance on the Life & General Tax calculation Review tax returns and provide guidance on tax planning and compliance Research and stay up-to-date with changes in IFRS and tax regulations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial and tax issues Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance financial and tax reporting efficiency Support internal and external audits Participate in tax risk management Assist with indirect taxes reviews Assist with external audit relationship management Project management on ad hoc projects Requirements CA(SA) Previous experience in a technical role would be advantageous. Tax experience in an insurance environment is an added advantage.
