A vacancy exist for an Imports Clerk, based in Hammarsdale, Kwazulu-Natal. Job purpose Responsible for overall administration of imports Imports and Exports • Report Client Container Exceptions • Report timeous on i.e. daily, weekly and monthly pallet reports and analyses the data • Complete the Inbound planning and schedule (Containers and Cleared Loads) • Monitor vessels and estimated time of arrival (ETA) • Liaising with Department: Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) and Port Health on daily basis and all Labs allocated to the Company (Sample Inspections and Outstanding Containers) • Ensure Port health and Plant & Seed bookings • Monitor prior permissions (PPRS) – Audited on a Monthly basis with no findings to date • Liaise with Customers – Stock replenishments, Stock queries • Attend to product specifications, poor quality stock, stock disputes • Handle release from customs through to completion and delivery of transport documentation • Complete Shipping Line instructions • Complete Cartage and combined transport Operator (CTO) instructions Operations and Administration • Forecast capacity • Plan execution of the operations - Operations planner • Manage the Yard (Yard Management0 • Ensure proper Plan VS Actual reporting • Manage of third-party transportation • Ensure TAT reporting to client base Financial and Business Performance • Manage of Port timelines, mitigating any risk to clients • Correct identified shortfalls • Recommend solutions to overcome any operational deficiencies and continuously develop improvement of processes and procedures • Communicate with all clearing agents and customers, regarding pallet holdings and agreements • Update the transportation costing tracker • Work with clearing agent's documents • Take containers off hold on the system • Assist in the continual development of SOP`s Job Specification: • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience • Minimum of Grade 12 / Matric • Able to work in a non-routine environment independently and as part of a team • Maintain and set high efficiency standards with attention to detail • Ability to work and collaborate within a team, building positive relationships • Proactive and results driven • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal • Self-motivated and innovative • Assume responsibility for the accuracy and timeous submission of reports compiled. • Ability to manage time and work Cost to Company (CTC) – R 19,260.00 per month Apply Now
