Imports Client Controller (Ocean Freight) (JB4413) Durban, Kwa Zulu Natal Market Related Permanent We are seeking an experienced Imports Client Controller (Ocean) to join our clients' team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sea freight import processes and a proven track record of building strong client relationships. This role is pivotal in ensuring timely and error-free delivery of import shipments, managing all functions within the department, and maintaining high standards of customer service. The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years experience as a Import Client Controller (ocean) with a good working knowledge of all aspects of Sea freight Imports, including the Customs and related EDI processes. Relevant tertiary qualification essential. Minimum Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification Matric 3-5 years of experience as an Import Client Controller (ocean) Strong knowledge of sea freight imports, customs, and related EDI processes Excellent communication skills Valid driver's license Proficiency in computer literacy Duties and Responsibilities: Liaise closely with clients, providing regular updates on the status of their clearances and deliveries Monitor the status of import shipments to ensure no delays in the clearance process Handle and follow up on disputes and claims until resolution Maintain regular client meetings, visits, and telephonic discussions to gather information on clients' business requirements Ensure all billing, reconciliation, and financial queries related to imports are managed according to KPIs Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth file management and compliance with integrated management systems Ensure adherence to SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality) compliance Please do not apply using Scanned CVs, no supporting documentation is required at this point, this will be requested later.
