Insurance Advisor: Sales & Service Market-related - South Africa

We are looking for an Insurance Advisor: Sales and service for our Gqeberha (PE) and East London Offices to increase Indwe's market share by selling appropriate risk solutions to existing clients within the Advisory Division and to provide a rewarding service experience and appropriate risk solutions at all touch points. 1. Growth portfolio Develop and Implement Pro- Active service plan according to agreed Targets Identify new business opportunities by sourcing qualifying leads as per target Meet agreed portfolio growth (organic, sales, cross & up selling) Establish client risk profile & insurance requirements by means of needs analysis Provide after sales service to ensure/ new business Vest Identify, build & maintain relationship with Partners to ensure 10% growth per annum Negotiate with Insurers Re- Premium and Quotations Do Up and cross -selling on existing business 2. Retain and maintain clients Identify opportunities for cross and up-selling on existing clients Manage client retention by application of mandates and refer or rebroke where necessary Cancellations to be kept to a minimum and in line with portfolio targets Liaise with insurers or management re premiums and quotations if applicable Build relationships through regular and proactive caring calls - keeping them abreast of latest products and any news of relevance to them Risk management advice including review and identification of insured risks and claims management service Attend to all client queries (revision, renewals, premium negotiations with insurers, amendments, cancellations, unpaid premium. 3. Policy administartion Load policies, amendments and endorsements on the system within required time frames (same day resolution) Apply first call resolution approach to all clients inclusive of email correspondence Ensure 1st premium payment processes and debits are discussed and agreed with the clients Ensure that all pro rata premium adjustments are discussed with clients and captured timeously General correspondence and e-mails to clients according to company standards Responsible for Pro-Active underwriting discussions with clients and ensure communication is sent to all clients and saved on Mfiles Responsible for Re-Active underwriting discussions with clients and ensure communication is sent to clients and saved on Mfiles All backdating to be done with your mandate / referred to line manager if outside of mandate Adhere to underwriting & new business criteria- as per FAIS requirements and set company standards Ensure data integrity on all systems / Policy systems Ensure regular report and feedback to manager Processing of renewals within 45 days prior to renewal date. Pro-active discussion with clients and ensure that all documentation if forwarded to client within 31 days of renewal date. All renewals assigned either direct or via K2 must be attended to on a daily basis. Debit & credit notes for direct annual clients need to be raised on Isicelo system Any backlogs to be reported to your line manager immediately o All potential liability claims must be reported to your line manager immediately you become aware of a potential liability claim. 4. Claims administration Receive incoming emails and other documentation and respond in the appropriate manner within the mandated time frames. Capture information accurately and timeously on the administration platforms Manage client expectations at the onset of the claim and explain the process that will follow Discuss applicable excesses, endorsements or limitations and cover provided at the outset of the claim. Proper advise to client regarding impact on loss ratios / loss of cash back /bonuses and potential premium increases or additional terms etc Ensure regular follow-up of claims and follow-up on outstanding information with clients Clients to be given regular feedback on claims status All claims to be processed as per FNOL procedure and all documentation uploaded on the claim and/or Mfiles Ensure that third party claims are sent to Insurers as soon as possible Ensure claims process is followed in line with SLA Effectively attend to deviations and escalate claims queries and resolve expeditiously Make manager aware of any potential liability or repudiations All repudiations to be discussed with client and letters sent to client & saved on Mfiles 5. Customer service excellence Ensure all calls are answered promptly and all calls to be handled in a professional manner Provide a rewarding service experience at all touch points Ensure that TCF is applied on all client matters Ensure that customer queries are attended to and resolved expeditiously Respond to client's requirements by providing appropriate risk solutions and sound advice To ensure the provision of a rewarding service experience with each claim handled within the team in line with CSI targets Maintain constant feedback and proactive communication with clients Build ongoing relationships with clients. 6. Internal business processes & relationships Establish and maintain good business relationships with clients, business associates and co-workers and ensure that all interactions are conducted in a professional manner Adherence to all Company policies & procedures Attend to ad hoc duties as assigned and required Take ownership for personal development Conduct at all times to be transparent and with utmost honesty & integrity. Education Matric Level 4 FETC Short-Term Insurance Qualification Advantage: Higher Certificate in Insurance (NQF5) Passed exam RE: Representatives Experience Minimum of 4 years' experience within short-term personal lines insurance, including 2 years in a Sales & Service Environment Skills Computer Literacy Communication Analytical Ability Negotiation Planning and organizing Decision making Selling Listening and assessing Time management Ability to adapt to change Knowledge Understanding of the insurance and brokerage industry and environment Sound knowledge and understanding of personal lines insurance FAIS requirements of a representative Legal requirements of the insurance industry Technical insurance knowledge – (underwriting) Personal attributes Influential Assertiveness Flexibility Interpersonal effectiveness Customer Service orientation Resilience and Tenacity Emotional maturity Proactive Innovative Deadline driven Attention to detail Accuracy Apply Now
