A Bachelor's Degree in a related field required (aviation, maritime, or social science); a Master's degree or two years relevant experience is preferred. Basic understanding of key global affairs and awareness of how events can impact the aviation and maritime industries. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required. French language ability is highly desirable. Exceptional research and analysis skills. Two years of research and analysis experience in a professional setting preferred. Ability to summarize complex information. Proficient in Office suite software, general computer literacy, basic mapping tools (such as Google MyMaps), and cybersecurity practices for business. What You Will Work On Contribute research and writing to create the Airline Safety Newsletter, a monthly newsletter for clients detailing significant events of the past month and special focus topics. Adhere to methodology to assist the senior aviation analyst with the World Airline Monitor, a ranking system for airlines to help book the best choices for travelers to avoid cancellations or potentially unsafe operations. Monitor maritime incidents and maintain awareness of all threats and major issues affecting shipping or other maritime operations. Assist the senior maritime analyst in tracking and documenting these incidents and drafting related reports. Liaise with regional teams and other Crisis24 branches for aviation and maritime-related matters, e.g. piracy incidents, air traffic control strikes. Assist in research and curation of aviation and maritime location intelligence. Contribution to multiple bespoke client reports on maritime security risks in transit areas, including creation of visuals such as charts, graphs, or maps. Answer client concerns and specific questions relating to aviation or shipping though a feedback/ QA program with Customer Service. Serve on the watch as an alert analyst, following standard operating procedures and guidelines for thresholds to alert potential disruptions or threats to clients. In this role, you may report on transportation-related incidents as part of your regular shift, but occasionally will monitor and alert as a generalist to assist with after-hours coverage. Who You Will Work With You will be a part of the transportation team, comprised of an aviation and a maritime analyst. You will also be expected to work alongside the Crisis24 regional analysis teams and with other Crisis24 branches. These may include Crisis and Security Consulting, Global Protective Solutions, and our imbedded intelligence teams. What You Will Bring Ability to take initiative and work under pressure or tight deadlines. A strong interest in continued cultivation of knowledge in all aspects of transportation. Ability to consult written standards to follow guidelines to complete tasks, and openness to constructive criticism and editing. Self-motivation to learn new tools and methods and to seek new opportunities for professional self-improvement. Confidence in direct communication and presentation with internal and external stakeholders, such as briefings or Q&A sessions. Excellent reading comprehension and writing skills.
