Based in Johannesburg. My client’s Waste Department is in search of a dedicated Waste Engineer. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to ongoing and upcoming projects in the field. It is a mid-management position based at the headquarters in Rivonia and presents a chance to uphold the client’s esteemed industry position while gaining valuable and diverse experience. Role Summary:As a Waste Engineer, you will play a pivotal role within my client’s Waste Department, engaging in various aspects of the project lifecycle. This encompasses concept development, feasibility studies, design, procurement, construction management, and ongoing operation monitoring. The projects span from commercial waste disposal facilities to mining waste and industrial waste solutions. This role allows you to collaborate with a dynamic team. Qualifications and Requirements : (Non Neg) A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience B Eng or BSc Eng in Civil Engineering Profound understanding of soil mechanics Familiarity with design engineering codes and technical standards Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint Experience with slope stability software like Geostudio Competence in AutoCAD Civil 3D or ModelMaker Preferred Skills and Attributes: Honours degree in a relevant field Professional Engineer Registration Project management acumen Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills, fluency in English Dynamic, self-motivated approach with a sense of responsibility and ownership Effective time management Meticulous attention to detail Key Responsibilities: Design and review barrier and capping systems for waste management facilities and related infrastructure Develop basal and final landform models Conduct global and veneer stability assessments Address stormwater, leakage, leachate conveyance, and storage facilities Implement geosynthetics in designs Perform life assessments and monitor operational waste facilities Ensure project requirements alignment with scope, quantities, cost, and schedule Prepare technical reports and documentation Engage and liaise with diverse stakeholders, including clients and authorities Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional growth Stay updated with industry advancements, continuously enhancing knowledge base To Apply Click Here Application Deadline: September 14 2023 If you are looking for an opportunity to contribute in an impactful way, apply now.
