Reference: Dur000182-Consu-1 Our client is seeking an Internal Sales Consultant for their Durban based international logistics and freight business. Job Purpose: To Increase sales revenue by providing excellent customer service by focusing on the needs of individual customers directly or through the support of the team, promoting long-term customer relationships and customer loyalty. Essential Requirements: Knowledge of the tank container markets 2 years sales experience 2 years shipping logistics experience is preferable Knowledge of tenders and appropriate data entry Ability to compile rate quotations Key responsibilities: Providing price quotations, order changes/adjustments and cancellations directly from customers and prospective customers via email and telephone. Maintaining regular contact with customers. Proactively identifying and targeting prospective customers through outbound cold calling. Ensuring the highest level of professionalism and courtesy at all times during communications with customers. Resolving customer issues quickly and efficiently. Liaise with sales and operations regarding customer enquiries. Negotiating rates with suppliers to certain extend and in cooperation with procurement department. Organizing cost database. Liaise with credit department concerning credit status of prospective clients. Assisting tender coordinator. plus medical aid
