Internal Sales (Chemical Ind), :
- Internal sales representatives sell products/services to customers either in the office environment via telephone, e-mail, walk-in customers or source sales via email, cold calling, and lead follow-up calls.
- Researching and qualifying new leads.
- New business sales, tele-sales and canvassing
- Up-sell on existing customers, generate new leads and open new accounts, close deals, reach sales targets and gross profit targets.
- Help customers select products based on their needs, product specifications, and interests.
- Emphasize product features based on analyses of demand, product knowledge, capabilities, and limitations.
- Respond timeously to customers'' requests for pricing, availability, and product uses and creative ideas, and samples.
- Prepare quotations according to bid specifications, with accurate configurations.
- Coordinate order flow with production and secure best ship method to meet customer due dates.
- Follow up with customers to make sure they are satisfied with their purchases and to answer any questions or concerns.
- Support sales efforts such as attending an exhibit, sales function or marketing event if necessary.
- Research new sales opportunities, identify key retail sources, generate interest and close sales.
- Maintain and expand your database of prospects.
- Keep management informed of activity, including timely correspondence through emails and calls.
- Use Skynamo as instructed or any customer sales platform as per company requirements.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Communicate with customers, understand their needs, and ensure a smooth sales process.
- Make outbound calls to potential customers and follow up on leads.
- Communicate marketing information
- Keep up with product and service information and updates as well as competitor products and services.
- Create and maintaining a database of current and potential customers. Assist in updating customer information on accounting package
- Explain and demonstrate features of products and services via trials, demonstrations or any customer sites as required.
- Provide back-up to the Sales Administrator in her absence which is sales and operations based.
- Invoicing and managing CODs and assisting with debtors where applicable.
- Arrange, invoice and control customer collections.
- Meet targets and sales Key Performance Indicators
- Work together in the sales team.
Basic (R15000 pm) and commission.
Please note that this is not just a sales admin role, it is a SALES role with admin duties too.
