Reference: JHB001806-JS-2We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our client’s team as a Service Support Intern for a 12-month period. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of their service operations. The successful Intern will play a crucial role in supporting their team with tasks such as dispatching and receiving parcels, packaging tools for shipment, maintaining workshop and laboratory equipment, and contributing to local onsite work. Key Responsibilities: Dispatch and Receive Parcels: Assist in the efficient dispatch and receiving of parcels, ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery. Tool Packaging: Contribute to the packaging of tools for shipment, ensuring that items are securely packed to prevent damage during transit. Workshop and Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain workshop and laboratory equipment to ensure a safe and organised working environment. Customer Tool Handling: Assist in the dispatching and receiving of customer tools from reception, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. Driver's License Requirement: A valid driver's license is a must for this role, or the candidate should have plans to obtain one during the internship period. Local Onsite Work: Provide support for local onsite work, collaborating with team members to meet project requirements. Calibrations and Equipment Repair: Assist with calibrations and repair of equipment when required, although this is not the primary focus of the role. Qualifications: Completed Matric/Grade12 (Certificate Required) Qualifications in Metrology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Strong interest in gaining practical experience in the service and maintenance of equipment. Requirements: Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
