Job Title: Inventory Manager A pioneer in the diamond mining industry with operations spanning land and marine environments, is seeking an Inventory Manager to oversee our inventory operations This role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency, optimizing inventory management, and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and integrity in our inventory systems, thereby supporting the companys financial strength and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement inventory management strategies, ensuring seamless integration and efficiency. Oversee the inventory lifecycle for a wide range of items, from mining equipment and supplies to critical spares for our marine fleet, ensuring availability and operational readiness. Conduct detailed inventory analysis and forecasting to prevent overstocking or stockouts. Liaise with financial teams to provide accurate inventory valuation and its impact on the balance sheet, highlighting the importance of inventory in financial planning and control. Coordinate with procurement, operations, and logistics teams to ensure inventory needs are met efficiently, reducing downtime and supporting continuous operation. Implement robust safety and security protocols across all storage and handling operations, with particular attention to the unique environmental and operational challenges. Qualifications & Skills Engineering diploma or equivalent technical qualification, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in the mining industry. Extensive experience in inventory or warehouse management, demonstrating a capacity to manage complex logistics and inventory systems. Proficient understanding of inventory's financial implications, with the ability to align inventory management practices with overall financial controls. Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of managing diverse teams and collaborating effectively across departments. Reporting Structure This position reports to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), with a close working relationship with the finance department and operational heads. Remuneration A competitive monthly salary ranging from R70k - R80k, reflective of the skills, experience, and critical nature of this role within the organization. This role requires a dynamic and detail-oriented leader who can navigate the intricacies of managing inventory across both land and marine operations, ensuring that the Group maintains its leadership in the diamond mining industry through operational excellence.
