Our client is seeking an Investment Associate with experience in project finance in the renewable energy industry, mining, or infrastructure development to join their team. You would perform detailed financial due diligence and analysis on prospective projects, and evaluate these projects based on the fund's investment policy and mandate. Your responsibilities would include preparing and maintaining project finance-based financial models for investments. Additionally, you would support the senior team in negotiation, documentation, preparing Investment Committee presentations, and presenting to the IC. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS A postgraduate degree in a business or finance-related field Candidates with a bachelor's degree in any engineering field will also be considered FMVA or CFA qualification EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 2-4 years of experience in M&A advisory, private equity, or investment banking Must have extensive experience with financial modelling and analysis Embedded knowledge of regulations and financial markets RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you would be responsible for generating leads, building financial models, conducting due diligence, and supporting negotiation and documentation processes. Additionally, the role will entail supporting the senior team in negotiation, documentation, preparing Investment Committee presentations, and presenting to the IC. You would additionally work closely with senior management of portfolio companies for strategy development and operational improvements. Other responsibilities include managing compliance, governance, and internal approvals in compliance with regulations, performing financial due diligence and analysis on prospective projects, and evaluating prospective projects based on the fund's investment policy and mandate.
