Purpose of the Role: As a result of SGHC's listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the Company is required to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley act (SOX), including the requirements to have for appropriate manage access and change management controls over key IT -systems. Non-compliance with SOX can have severe consequences, including negative audit reports, reputational damage, bad publicity, regulator penalties, financial loss and potential delisting from NYSE. Due to a current significant number of Spin Tech system controls, SOX on the go project requires significant effort to: Project management of audit timelines. Review of the controls evidence submitted by control owners.; Project management of remediation activities to address 2022 audit findings. Streamlining and unifying the processes across Spin DigiTech. As a result, we therefore request a SOX IT Controller who will have the correct experience and skillset level in order toto lead the changes and support SOX IT Controls for Spin DigiTech. Duties include, but not limited to: Liaise with Tech stakeholders and explain the requirements. Facilitate external IT audit, including timelines. Collecting Control evidence from control owners and communicating issues. Initiating policies review and leading standardisation of policies across segments. Produce requirements documentation in a format that stakeholders understand. Set-up and Monitoring of SOX requirements. Collaborating with the business and control owner to ensure that SOX controls are being actioned and evidence is provided on time. Updating RACMs and Flowchart to reflect additional requirements or changes. Provide training and awareness to SOX control owner when needed to ensure they understand the requirements and what can be improved. Ensure that evidence is collected prior to audit and requirement deadlines. Be the go-to person for SOX IT controls. Provide reporting on the progress of SOX controls. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities. The job holder may be required to complete any other reasonable duties in order to achieve business objectives. Essential Criteria: Minimum two-year work experience in the IT, compliance or audit sectors. Familiarity working with financial standards. A Good understanding of the relationship between risks and controls. Serve as the intermediary between the Technology team and External parties (Consultants and Auditors). Ability to build professional working relationships to ensure timely completion of tasks. Communication skills and ability to present the status to stakeholders. Be able to manage multiple work pieces at one time. Driving standardisation of ways of working to align to a single vision. Desirable Criteria: Knowledge of IT controls. Experience in working with external and internal audit teams. Experience in working with office 365, Atlassian tool and floqast A tertiary education or equivalent.
