IT Technician - South Africa
We are looking for a skilled and experienced IT Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning and optimization of our IT systems and services. The candidate will have a strong technical background with understanding of hardware, software, and networking, as well as excellent problem-solving and customer service skills. Responsibilities: Provide Tier 2 and 3 support to users Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software Manage user accounts and permissions Perform regular system maintenance and updates Monitor network activity and performance Train users on new systems and software Assist with the implementation of new technologies Qualifications: 5 years of experience in IT support with qualifications Strong technical knowledge of hardware, software, and networking. Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Desired Skills: Experience with a Server setup, maintenance, and backup’s/recovery Experience with working on IT helpdesk Experience with operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Experience with network setup, fault finding and maintenance. Experience with basic IT Project management Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform Experience with IT security best practices
