We are currently recruiting for a IT Technician to join our team on a one year fixed term contract. Good understanding of business and its IT needs. Translate business requirements into technical specification Manage infrastructure project Risk mitigating planning Provide desktop support for the staff members Install and run workplace rules on systems Update, maintain antivirus software Conduct training on cybersecurity Set-up audio visual presentation for Council structures and council programs Software upgrade & installation and provide system support for relevant databases Installation of new systems and Apple mac OS support Maintenance of installed systems, Windows, and Windows based application Management of LAN and Wi-Fi networks Liaison with external IT, Video Conferencing and Audio-visual service providers. Manage and operate audio visual & video conferencing facility Troubleshooting of audio visual and video conferencing components Provide computer support for Staff members and Council structures and service provider Be able to assist in the Council and even work after hours and weekends where necessary Project management Perform any related relevant task Qualifications National Diploma/Degree IT (NQF 6/), N, A Experience Two to three years' experience as an ICT Technician Extensive experience in desktop and network support Other skill Microsoft SQL Server 2012, Windows Server 2016 and SQL Transactions Methodologies- RAD and SDLC Skills and Competencies: Service focus Troubleshooting Analytical Technology ability Ability to operate computer software & programs Good communication skills Good motivator Knowledge of current developments in the field Excelent work ethic Ability to help non-technical staff Project management skills Excellent technical fault-finding skill Excellent problem-solving skill Market Related
