Iziko Museum is seeking to appoint motivated employees for their various positions. MUSEUM ATTENDANT (four months fixed-term contract positions, full-time and part-time) Basic Salary Range: R88 032 to R119 100 per annum, plus benefits Grade 12 -Training in security would be an advantage. Key Requirements include: Knowledge of safety and security Ability to lift heavy objects Ability to communicate effectively in English Neat and professional presentation Ability to work under pressure Interpersonal skills Commitment to work after hours Ability to be flexible, Commitment to work at any Iziko site GENERAL CLEANER/GARDEN ASSISTANT (four months fixed-term contract positions) Basic Salary Range: R64 344 – R87 036 per annum, plus benefits Minimum Qualifications: Grade 10 Key Requirements include: Ability to perform a variety of cleaning duties Ability to lift heavy objects Assisting in all activities pertaining to garden Enthusiastic approach to work Ability to work in a team as well as be able to work independently Commitment to work after hours SALARY AND BENEFITS Employment benefits such as a thirteenth cheque, a contribution towards a designated retirement fund (compulsory) and a designated medical aid (voluntary) as well as a housing subsidy will be added to the basic salary quoted above. Other employment conditions such as leave entitlement are generous.
