Our client in a non-manufacturing automotive industry is looking for a Software Developer specializing in NATURAL/ADABAS to join their team. As a Natural Developer, you will be responsible for developing NATURAL ADABAS-based software solutions, including maintenance, enhancements, and changes to existing applications. Your role will involve evaluating requirements, conducting feasibility studies, analyzing systems, designing, building, documenting, and implementing application systems, as well as enhancing existing systems. Job Responsibilities: · Develop NATURAL ADABAS-based software solutions for maintenance, enhancements, and changes to existing applications. · Maintain and support existing NATURAL/ADABAS systems. · Design, build, and implement application systems. · Evaluate requirements, conduct feasibility studies, and perform system analysis. · Document software features and changes. · Ensure adherence to standards, procedures, and development methods. · Participate in the entire project lifecycle, from development to deployment. · Assist with support and incident management. · Integrate and implement systems as required. · Provide user training when necessary. · Identify and define procedures, processes, and information flow for system maintenance aligned with business strategies and requirements. · Conduct technical investigations, impact analysis, and propose technical solutions. · Perform standby and maintenance duties as required. · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering · Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in NATURAL/ADABAS development. · Proficiency in the NATURAL programming language. · Familiarity with NATURALOne. · Experience with BATCH and Online processing in NATURAL/ADABAS. · Knowledge of data processing concepts, ETL pipelines, and data warehousing principles. · Proficiency in programming languages commonly used with NATURAL/ADABAS, such as Python or Scala. · Knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases. · Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues. · Excellent communication and collaboration skills. · Ability to work on multiple projects and handle priorities effectively. · NATURAL development certification and ITIL/COBIT certification are desirable.
