We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced HR Operations Specialist to join our central HR team (based in Cape Town) for Jumia Group. The HR Operations Specialist will be working with HR teams across 10 African countries. This role will include developing and implementing HR processes, operational efficiencies and ensuring data integrity and operational effectiveness. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Identify and define simplified solutions to increase operational efficiencies, continuous process improvement, data integrity and operational effectiveness across all countries HR Operations functions Identify and analyse opportunities for process improvements and automations and executing the development of HR processes Partner with a variety of different teams to deliver effective, efficient, integrated, and value-added systems and process solutions Keep abreast of industry trends and best practice to optimise the HR operation service offering Align and influence key business decisions to ensure the effective implementation of HR processes Build and maintain relationships with a variety of internal teams (incl. Finance and Tech) and external service providers Drive the implementation of the HR Operations processes, technology and systems across the countries Ensure that the applicable standards, policies, frameworks and guidelines that governs HR Operations activity across the organization are met and followed by all countries Ensure compliance with HR operations processes across groups to mitigate risk Drive the implementation and adoption of various HR practices and processes using various tools such as facilitating sessions to educate HR teams, employees and senior line managers on these practices Building and strengthening process know-how in order to future proof the organisation Support various stakeholders in the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at optimising and managing organisational effectiveness Advise, coach and support senior leaders on the wide range of HR Processes Identify training and development initiatives relating to HR Operations WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Honours degree in Human Resources (HR), Social or Behavioural Sciences 6 years' experience in HR Operations at a senior level required Working across different countries Knowledge of and experience in HR best practices and operational excellence Track record in supporting the delivery of change / improvement projects Good business acumen Problem solving and critical thinking skills with a continuous improvement mindset Analytical skills and fact-based decision ability Self-directed with an ability to organize, plan and prioritize Outstanding communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Self-motivated to drive initiatives Ability to thrive in a global environment, working flexibly where required WE OFFER: A unique experience in an entrepreneurial, yet structured environment A unique opportunity of having strong impact in building the African e-commerce sector The opportunity to become part of a highly professional and dynamic team An unparalleled personal and professional growth as our longer-term objective is to train the next generation of leaders This appointment will be made in accordance with the Company's Employment Equity Plan and preference will be given to people from Designated Groups and people with a disability, provided such job applicants meet the inherent criteria of the vacancy.
