Purchasing and supply management is an important role within our business and the Junior Buyer is responsible for buying the best quality equipment, goods and services for the company at the most competitive price. In most cases more than two thirds of revenue can be spent on buying the company's products or services, meaning that the Junior Buyer can make a real difference in cost saving and profit. The Junior Buyer need to be good with numbers and ethical issues. Individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including working in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload. Data capturing of all purchase orders Expedite and follow up with Suppliers to schedule deliveries Assist with inventory control Assist with closing of all departmental Non-Conformances Assist with Contracts/Procedures MRP Assist with Purchasing strategies Assist in VA/VE exercises Adhoc tasks Must have matric. The Candidate must have at least 3 years manufacturing experience. Buying or Procurement qualification advantage Must be computer literate, Syspro experience will be an advantage. Be responsible and accept accountability. Must be proficient in MS Office. Must be able to work independently. Prepared to work overtime when required. Must be proactive and hard working with a high level of integrity. Quick learner and eagerness to accept new challenges. Good communication skills. Good admin and document control.
