Responsible for analysing security events across the technology estate. Proactive vulnerability identification response and remediation assistance within all technology assets and all public facing services. Perform proactive threat hunting activities and to track and assist with management of remediation efforts for all identified IT security related issues. To help enhance and maintain reporting on all security operations and to ensure and improve information security and regulatory compliance. Monitor networks and connected devices for security issues. Proactively respond to and report on DLP, IPS/IDS, ATP, APT detection, help device on remediation actions and improvement plans. Investigate relevant cyber security incidents. Aid in the documentation of security breaches and provide remediation recommendations. Assess security incidents and measure organisational impact. Work with IT Ops on identified systems vulnerabilities to seek long term solutions. Track and help manage remediation efforts ensuring a mature document trail. Stay current on IT security trends and news (Trusted 3rd Party Intelligence) Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management. Ensure and improve organisation's IT Security and regulatory compliance. SOC individual training and upskilling on demand. Weekly collaboration with SOC team lead for an overview of socs understanding and analyst performance. Relevant IT Security certification or equivalent Experience in IT systems engineering Excellent IT security incident response Experience with computer network vulnerability testing tools and techniques Experience with vulnerability remediation in and across various technologies Good understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, AV, and IDS/IPS concepts Understanding of Wireless network security and protection mechanisms Understanding of cyber security centric documentation and evidence collection Experience with industry standard InfoSec tools and techniques i.e. O365 Security Centre, Mimecast, Qualys, AV, SIEM's, unstructured data scanning, rogue detection etc.
