Junior Fleet Manager - Queenstown

Well established company based in Komani are seeking an experienced applicant with FMCG industry experience to join their dynamic team Educational Requirements: Must have Grade 12 (certificate must be provided on application) Must have a Diploma and/or Degree in Logistics advantageous (certificate must be provided on application) Valid Code 10 or 14 driver’s license and professional driving permit (PDP) (must be provided on application) Forklift license is advantageous Experience Requirements: Must have at least two years working experience in the FMCG industry At least two years supervisor experience Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel Fluent in English (essential) and Xhosa (preferred) Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Excellent managerial and administration skills Responsible, hardworking and dedicated Organised and able to work under pressure with excellent time management skills Key Performance Areas: Ensure all new company vehicles and file insurance claims on damaged vehicles (when applicable) Safety – arrange for tracker fitment and lock installations (cover locks and clamps) on all new vehicles Organise diesel tanks and order diesel for diesel tank for truck fill-ups Reconcile monthly tracker invoices with received statements Safety Maintenance – Monitor fire hydrants, vehicle/truck wheel wrenches, batteries and fuel leaks Reconcile diesel sheets/usage records, monitor usage and highlight any diesel queries to the Administration Office and Head of Security for further investigation Ensure generators have sufficient diesel in the event of loadshedding and know how to operate a generator General maintenance of the vehicles and repairs where needed and daily water/oil checks on all company vehicles in the yard and arranging minor and major services as needed, for the vehicles and servicing all vehicles out of warranty Weekly thorough checks on each of the trucks, inside and out followed by action or reporting of issues Arranging order numbers to send vehicles for quotations to other companies when necessary Monitoring vehicles for unauthorised stops and routes, as well as excessive idling time Attending to servicing and maintenance and performance issues of truck refrigeration units Continuous updating of the company’s vehicle spreadsheets (refrigeration units and serial numbers, license disk expiry dates, services done or needed etc.) Investigate and diesel over-usage reported, within a reasonable time frame (2 – 3 days) and provide feedback to senior management Attend to and sign off all possible issues and concerns reported by drivers and the subsequent referral to someone else when necessary Provide weekly feedback on what was repaired, what is due for service and the urgency of it Ensure that all truck licenses are valid and up to date and that all drivers have valid licenses and PDP’s Should you wish to apply, please email your CV through to Erin Bentz at erinprofilepersonnel.co.za Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
