EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 3 to 5 years post articles experience in litigation, labor law, commercial law, and contract law.
Admitted attorney to the High Court of South Africa.
LL. B Degree.
Experience in the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy sector.
Familiarity with NEC 3 and FIDIC suite agreements.

MAIN OBJECTIVES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Litigation and Legal Support:

Assist in litigation matters and liaise with external legal counsel.
Provide legal counsel on labor law, commercial law, and contract law.

Sector-Specific Expertise:

Preferred experience in the construction or engineering sector within the energy industry.

Contract Drafting and Review:

Draft and review contracts, focusing on the NEC 3 and FIDIC suite agreements.

Debt Collection and Insurance Law:

Manage debt collection procedures and handle insurance law matters.

Commercial Document Review:

Analyze general commercial documents, including credit applications and lease agreements.

Company Secretarial Duties:

Beneficial if experienced in Company Secretarial functions.
