Well-established designer and manufacturer of variable air volume equipment seeks to employ a Junior Design Engineer to design new products at their premises near Claremont. Suitable for a recent or new graduate.For the position you would be required to have: B. Eng/ B. Sc/ B. Tech in Mechanical EngineeringFlair for design0 – 2 years’ experienceResponsibilities would include you to: Assess the design of the current product range to ensure they meet customer performance expectations.Re-engineer existing product range as required to ensure performance.Develop new concept designs according to market requirements.Ensure design for manufacturability.Ensure Quality is built into the designs.Value engineering of product range to reduce manufacturing cost.Testing and laboratory proving of all designs.Documentation of test results and product information for marketing purposes.Develop product and component quality standards.Ensure design principles adhering to world class standards.Technical support to the manufacturing team when required.Setup and run EFD Airflow Simulations.Publish Technical Bulletins.Develop BOMs and work with Production & Procurement to implement them on Syspro.
