Job Title: Junior QA/Test Analyst Location: Bellville, Cape Town Work set up : Hybrid (in office twice a week) Salary: R400K – R600K per annum, based on proven experience. Advantageous industry experience : Logistics / supply chain / import - export Position Overview: As a Junior QA/Test Analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with our development team to understand requirements, design test cases, execute tests, and report bugs. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about software quality assurance and eager to grow their career in this field. Currently using manual testing methods, but well on their way to switch over to automation testing (any automation experience would be highly advantageous). Key Responsibilities: 1. Collaborate with the development team to understand software requirements and technical specifications. 2. Design and develop test cases based on requirements and technical specifications. 3. Execute test cases manually and/or using automated testing tools. 4. Identify and report defects, ensuring clear and concise documentation. 5. Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues. 6. Participate in the continuous improvement of QA processes and procedures. 7. Assist in regression testing and quality assurance activities for software releases. 8. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing. Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field would be advantageous. 2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 3. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. 4. Good understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies. 5. Familiarity with software testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) is a plus. 6. Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) is a plus. 7. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. 8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 9. Knowledge of Agile methodologies is advantageous. 10.
