Junior to mid-level mechanical engineer - Pretoria
An established mechanical engineering firm in the military vehicle design environment is seeking a junior to mid-level Mechanical Engineer
Duties & Responsibilities
- Mechanical engineering:
- CAD based design of mechanical systems / structures
- Creation of manufacturing drawings
- Engineering analysis and calculations
- Finite element modelling and analysis
- Compilation of engineering documents (Specifications, CoCs, Design Reports, etc)
- Project Management:
- Manage own projects
- Prepare quotations
- Complete project work according to agreed schedule, quality and cost
- Sourcing, procurement and expediting
- Testing:
- Compile Test Instructions
- Execute tests
- Compile test reports
Desired Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
- 0 – 5 years experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to work on Microsoft Teams
- Must be able and willing to travel overseas
- Experience in Siemens Solid Edge or Solidworks will be an advantage
- Experience in FEMAP and Matlab or Python will be an advantage
- Experience in military vehicle design will be an advantage
