Were looking for a Junior Underwriter with excellent attention to detail. You should be able to efficiently support the credit process by analysing and determining a clients risk when reviewing applications. You need to be proficient in verbal and written communication as you will prepare and report decision-making data that will contribute to lending decisions made. Responsibilities: Perform efficient risk assessments of clients and provide feedback to the team Assess client background information and financial status Review applications for compliance and adherence Perform telephonic trade reference checks and any post-credit checks necessary before disbursement of funds Communicate recommendations to clients credit team Analyse client performance for any concerning changes Efficiently obtain clarifications where concerns are present Skills And Qualifications Matric Credit Management or BCom Degree Basic understanding of payment terms etc Capability to establish a good rapport with clients Strong analytical skills Problem-solving capabilities
