A suitably qualified and relevantly experienced Key Account Manager (Food/FMCG Industry) is required for a well-established Food industry company in Gauteng.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for achieving sales and customer targets for the company in the Gauteng region
- Understand the requirements of each client’s needs and business objectives
- Develop and plan sales calls for effective customer buy in
- Demonstration and promotion of products and services to customers
- Build new and existing client relationships
- Assist and develop promotional activity to suit market and customer requirements
- Proactively look for new clients, markets and related opportunities
- Drive Sales and profits
- Monitor customer performance - buying, equipment and services
- Use Industry knowledge and product research to build market share
- Manage the Sales and Administration related duties effectively
- Timeous submission of reports
- Effectively manage and interact with staff involved with the position
- Successfully upsell the company’s products, services and solutions
Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12
- Relevant degree in Food/Food Science/Food Technology is essential
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Key Account Manager in the Food Industry is NON negotiable
- Previous experience in a factory food based environment would be very beneficial
- Strong negotiating ability and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good Computer skills (MS Office)
- Well-groomed and presentable
- Energetic and able to deal with pressure
- Valid Driver's license
- Own reliable transport
- Must be able to travel
- Salary is strictly dependent on relevant Key Account Sales, Food based experience and skill set
