Key Accounts Manager - Johannesburg

Our client is looking for a Key Accounts Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Budget requirements.

  • Develop call schedules.

  • Plan sales calls to ensure a value-added approach.

  • Plan on building market share across all categories.

  • Demonstrate products to clients.

  • Build client relationships and ensure service effectiveness.

  • Conduct regular customer performance reviews.

  • Develop and implement promotional activity

  • Build on and research product and industry knowledge.

  • Submit reports by the required deadlines.

  • Proactively look for new business and market opportunities.

  • Manage sales administration and other duties as required.

  • Provide market intelligence feedback.

  • Develop agreements as and when required.

  • Manage interns and other staff allocated to the role and customer base.

Key Skills:

  • Discipline and time management.

  • Planning + proactive approach.

  • Customer service and relationship building.

  • Communication & persuasiveness.

  • Resilience and positive outlook.

  • Business acumen.

  • Drivers license and travel is required.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Degree in Food Technology or equivalent.

  • 5 or more years experience in sales or food science preferably in FMCG + experience in the handling of

  • key accounts would be advantageous.
