Description We are looking for a dynamic, highly self-motivated and driven individual to join our team. The L&D Manager will design and develop new content for skills training as well as maintain/update current learning material. The role is ideal for a candidate with strong and extensive management experience in learning and development as well as events and logistics. The applicant must have excellent planning, communication and leadership ability and will also be responsible for educational wellness days nationally. Reporting structure The Learning and Development Manager is reporting to the Managing Director. The L&D Manager will have a team of seven staff. Duties and responsibilities Learning and Development: Manage training centre registration process. Comply with requirements of the Training Quality Management System. Ensure qualified staff is available to deliver training programmes. Keep up-to-date with industry trend and best practice in learning and development. Build and maintain partnership with key stakeholders. Identify training needs of clients and recommend the training and skills development programme that will meet these needs. Prepare an annual training plan and budget in line with the business strategy. Manage L&D communication, coordination and support of all training sessions. Research content and implement best practices in the areas of design and e-learning and continuously apply sound learning theories. Review and update existing material to ensure it is current and relevant. Develop training material aligned to NQF unit standards, liaising with SETAS, National Skills Fund and NSFAS. Provide training for clients and ensure effective delivery and management of virtual and in person sessions. Monitor course rollouts and conduct reporting. Evaluate effectiveness of training interventions. Measure and monitor customer satisfaction within client base and recommend corrective action where needed. Identify coaching needs and partner with relevant providers to facilitate coaching programmes. Educational Wellness days: As primary educational wellness day custodian, serve the clients accordingly. Mapping client sites into three national regions to fulfil logistical, operational and cost requirements. Responsible for developing the national educational wellness day schedule. Responsible for roll out of educational wellness days on a national basis according to SLA. Responsible for client reporting. Responsible for client support and solving of queries. Management of the staff operations to ensure the presence and retention of appropriate skills to achieve business goals. Managing unit performance to ensure compliance with client service level agreements. Ongoing reviews of appropriate and integrated wellness interventions. Ongoing development of efficient business processes and systems to ensure efficient delivery of services. Ensuring adherence to best practice and quality assurance. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper positioning of the unit and operations. Recommend system enhancements and stay up-to-date on emerging technologies. Experience and qualifications required Degree in Industrial Psychology with focus on Learning and Development or Diploma in OD ETDP. Skills Development Facilitator certificate will be advantageous Assessor certificate will be advantageous Moderator certificate will be advantageous A minimum of 3 years' experience in learning and development A minimum of 3 years project/staff management experience Events management/logistical management experience is a requirement Experience in the health and wellness industr advantageous Knowledge and experience in accrediting training programmes and liaising with the SETAS and National Skills Fund will be advantageous Apply Now
