Honours Degree in Training and Development or Human Resources Management · Master's degree will be advantageous More than Ten (10) years' experience in training and development of which Five (5) years' must be at a Senior Manager role: · Experienced in the understanding and application of Learning & Development · Track record of leading ideas generation; translating these into practical initiatives to be implemented and demonstration of successful execution and delivery within the field of Learning & Development · Experience in leading teams, including the coordination of knowledge sharing across the HR discipline, managing workload and reviewing the work of others to ensure consistency with task requirements · Learning and development methodologies with special emphasis on training in Technical functions but inclusive of support functions · Experience in People Management and working in a matrix organisation · Technical and People Skills training · Experience in championing a learning and development strategy focused on the Future of Work · Good Stakeholder Management Skills · Training Centre Management skills · Three (3) to Five (5) years' Learning & Development statutory reporting Drive learning programs that are aligned with Northam Platinum's strategic objectives and best practice guidelines and processes · Develop a learning and development Performance Matrix for operational training centres · Work with Production Managers and Mine Overseers to develop an organisation-wide learning and development strategy, which includes Technical training, Legal & Liability training and 'Soft Skills' training · Assist with the development of an organisation-wide Skills Matrix that is linked to each role · Implement a Competency Framework and Assessment standards · Support improvement in performance outcomes through the development of targeted learning interventions ensuring there is an integrated approach · Oversee the effective use of the Learning Management Systems to manage and evaluate learning using key metrics to support a high impact learning culture · Establish executive stakeholder support/buy-in and secure active participation and sponsorship for Learning & Development activities and priorities · Benchmark best practices in the Mining industry · Align SLP training to Operational workforce needs · Capitalise on all funding opportunities (MQA etc.) to develop appropriate, learning and development solutions, ensuring that training solutions are compliant with regulatory standards · Oversight of offered Programmes to ensure they are regulatory-compliant and aligned to the business strategy · Manage local regulatory engagements and submissions on skill development and SETA Learnerships by understanding the local requirements and working closely with the stakeholder, team to ensure compliance · Investigate and recommend how to leverage, pilot, scale and integrate the newest advances in digital learning technologies to realise the full value of learning within the learning eco-system · Identify and embed future-fit metrics to ensure the positive impact of learning experiences, value, cost effectiveness, and learner engagement and satisfaction and business outcomes · Establish and facilitate a collaborative and integrated learning capability that supports the Eland wide learning vision, with a specific focus on a culture of delivery and use of fit for purpose learning experiences · Take accountability for the budget for Eland Learning team, monitor costs, measuring value and impact, to ensure ROI for the business · Understand Elands' unique needs, challenges and ensure that the training agenda delivers on Business & Asset priorities · Ensure that the Eland learning standards are fully utilised · Participate in Learning and development Networks and Associations Health, Safety & Environment: · Demonstrate behaviour in line with health, safety, and environmental standards and with the Northam 's values · Participate in relevant safety audits, inspections and observations and address issues as part of demonstrating safety leadership · Support the Safety Training Head to ensure a process is in place to learn from incidents and that these are incorporated into learning content and delivery, with a proper system for Eland is in place to monitor execution People / Leadership: · Demonstrate behaviour in line with the Eland 's Culture themes, standards and a professional workplace · Provide leadership to and develop the performance of your team in line with Eland's policies and systems (e.g., performance management, talent management) to achieve business goals.
