Minimum requirements: An NQ F level 9 Architectural degree (e.g. M. Arch). A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline may be considered provided that a foundational NQF level 7 architectural qualification has also been achieved. Lecturing / professional experience at PrArch level or a combination thereof that adds up to at least 3 years. Experience in managing the implementation of architectural-related software and hardware Expertise in BIM software application, specifically related to workflow. ADDITIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS SACAP accredited primary qualifications. Good communication skills. Acumen towards operating with defined systems and requirements. A strong passion for teaching and research. Demonstration of willingness to complete a doctorate qualification. Experience in curriculum development Team player with an interest in moving the department towards excellence. Practice-based experience with in-depth construction technology knowledge Implementing and running community engagement projects as part of employment at an educational institution. An existing interest in 4IR, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and related aspects of Computational Architecture SUMMARY OF DUTIES Curriculum development. Development of teaching and learning material. Lecturing, assessment and supervision. Engaging in research and publications focused on the field of 4IR, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and related aspects of Computational Architecture Facilitating departmental community engagement projects. Assistance with administrative and other duties as prescribed by the Head of Department or representative as delegated. Participating in broader institutional fora Development and implementation of Department 4IR technologies in its programmes and research activities.
