Lecturing in subjects associated with the Diploma in Somatology and Advanced Diploma in Somatology proqrammes Demonstrating Somatology procedures and supervision of practical sessions as well in the Wellness Clinic Participate in curriculum development and quality assurance of the proqrammes Develop course material and innovative teaching and learning methods Identify at risk students, develop intervention strategies, and monitor student progress Plan, co-ordinate and supervise academic activities Academic administration, assessments, and subject management Assisting with departmental initiatives, encompassing the development, support, implementation and evaluation of strategic and operational plans Assist with student registration and departmental administration Conduct research and contribute towards departmental research outputs Involvement in service learninq, community outreach initiatives, marketinq and corporate wellness events Personal/Professional Development Competencies Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Proficient in all aspects of Somatoloqy and academic activities related to higher education Technical/professional knowledge and skills Knowledge and understanding of the latest technology and developments in the field of Somatology Good interpersonal and high-level presentation and facilitation skills Good orqanizational and planning skills Ability to work in a team as well as work independently Coaching and mentoring skills Good administrative skills Strong learners focus and adaptability A quality orientated work ethic Research skills Computer literacy in MS Office Suite General Information Closing Date: 07 April 2024 Enquiries: Ms Yandiswa Vuwani vuwaniycput.ac.za - Human Capital Department The Cape Peninsula University of Technology is committed to Employment Equity and aims to attract and retain talented individuals to achieve our equity objectives and therefore, people from the designated groups, including those with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
