The IIE Varsity College, Nelson Mandela Bay Campus has a vacancy for a Lecturer: Computer Science- Programming (Part-Time) available for the 2024 academic year. Competencies Required: Technical Skills Communication Skills Time management Skills Organisational Skills Effective classroom management skills Minimum Education Requirements: An Honours degree or higher in Computer Science/Information Systems/Information Technology Programming, Program Logic & Design, and Databases as one of the applicants' tertiary modules is required. Minimum Work Experience Requirements: Lecturing experience in programming. Work experience as a software developer/ application developer/ programmer. Lecturing experience in databases and/or programming. Work experience as a software developer/ application developer/ mobile programmer. Experience in one or more of the following technologies: Java NET (C#, .NET Core, ASP.net MVC, Blazor, UWP) JavaScript (React, Angular, etc.) Cloud Development (Azure, AWS, etc.) Mobile Application Development (Android/iOS) Database Systems (SQL, Oracle, NoSQL, Firebase, MongoDB, etc.) Operating Systems (Windows/Linux) Working Conditions: Please note that this is an independent contractor position. Lectures are for the 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd years of Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences in Application Development students. The Part-time contract dates (01 July – 29 November 2024) Please note that lectures take place between 08:20 and 16:45 on weekdays. Classes are conducted face–to–face on campus.
