Job Title: Legal Manager Location: Johannesburg, South Africa Role Summary: The Legal Manager will provide crucial legal expertise, particularly in gaming laws and leasing agreements. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all legal aspects related to the company's operations, offering strategic advice, drafting and negotiating contracts, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will be an admitted attorney or advocate in South Africa, with a solid background in contract law and a keen understanding of the gaming industry's legal requirements. Key Responsibilities: Advise on legal issues related to gaming, real estate, and leasing. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents to safeguard the company's interests. Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Coordinate with external legal advisors and regulatory authorities as necessary Formulate policies and procedures for effective legal risk management. Provide legal support across various departments for projects and business initiatives. Stay updated on legislative changes affecting the company and its industry. Requirements: Admission as an attorney or advocate in South Africa. 8-9 years of experience, with specific expertise in gaming law and/or leasing & property management experience. Demonstrated ability as a contract specialist, skilled in drafting and interpreting complex legal documents. Comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory landscape and compliance requirements in the gaming sector. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically and provide effective legal advice on complex issues. Attention to detail, professionalism, and integrity.
