Reference: Dur000156-Lelet-1Our food manufacturing client based in Hammarsdale requires a technically inclined machine operator with maintenance and change over experience. Essential requirements: Matric 2-3 years experience operating high speed packaging machines in a food manufacturing environment Knowledge of maintenance concepts Maintenance training advantageous Leadership qualities Duties and Responsibilities: Attention to detail and troubleshoot line problems Being responsible for the care, operation and first line maintenance of the production line Must be able to run the line in a safe, hygienic and efficient manner Should perform machine dis-assembly and cleaning. Should perform machine assembly after cleaning or shutdown Should perform start up procedures Should provide technical support and first line maintenance The operator is the leader of the line/s and should have leadership qualities Must ensure good housekeeping is maintained in the production area Must ensure the lines produce product to the company standard Should ensure minimum waste whilst running the machine. Is responsible for reporting unsafe conditions and food safety violations Should troubleshoot to determine causes of abnormalities Should be able to restore equipment to normal operating conditions Monthly
