This position is for a machine setter to be based in Midrand and involves following the preventative maintenance programme for equipment. Sets up and adjusts machines, reads work order or receives verbal instructions regarding machine setup by following the preventative maintenance programme, performs minor repairs and adjusts the setup of machines at the start of each shift Assisting with equipment installations by following the preventative maintenance programme for equipment and by following installation procedures. Working with Controls / PLC - sets control mechanisms that regulate functions Maintains and repairs machinery - starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions Assists operators and tenders in the inspection and maintenance of the equipment to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently - adjusts the setup of machines at the start of each shift, or whenever changing projects, to ensure the products will have the right thickness and shape without defects GMP - maintaining a clean and safe environment Safety - ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations Cleaning of area and following all safety procedures at all times by keeping a tracking system Authority to lock out equipment and to repair equipment General - adhere to all company SOPs, rules and ethics and be willing to assist in other areas when requested - participate and adhere to the requirements of the Integrated Management System At least Matric / Grade 12 certificate. About 2-3 years work experience in either the pharmaceutical / cosmetic / household industries. Apply Now
