Hire Resolve is currently representing a leading sugar manufacturing company based in Durban who is in search of a skilled Maintenance Foreman to join their team. The responsibilities of the Maintenance Foreman include: Planning and executing maintenance tasks and projects to ensure the efficient operation of the sugar manufacturing facility. Managing the maintenance team and providing guidance and support to team members. Conducting regular inspections, diagnosing equipment issues, and implementing necessary repairs and maintenance. Working closely with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment. Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and minimize breakdowns. Managing inventory and ordering spare parts and equipment as needed. Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities and preparing reports as required. Training and mentoring maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Requirements Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation). Proven experience working as a Maintenance Foreman in a sugar manufacturing or similar industry. Strong knowledge of sugar manufacturing equipment and processes. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks. Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. Computer literate with proficiency in maintenance management software. Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergencies.
