Maintenance Manager (Engineering Department) - Witbank

The following requirements or other relevant qualifications / experience is required.

* BSc, BEng, BTech, national Diploma or equivalent, electrical / mechanical engineering.
* Government Certificate of Comptency (GCC) - factories
* ± 5 Years middle / departmental management experience in asset/maintenance management in heavy industry
* Prior GMR 2.1/2.7 legal appointment, demonstrating good understanding of the OHS Act and its regulations, with 5+ years' experience holding such an appointment
* Valid driver's license and own transport
* Computer literate (MS Office suite)
* Outstanding organizational and Leadership abilities
* Competent in problem solving, team building planning and decision making
* Experience in asset maintenance systems and strategies
* Good knowledge of maintenance principles and practices and experience in implementing systems and strategies for asset maintenance and planning
* Good knowledge and experience in electrical and mechanical systems and root cause analysis
* Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving problems and making decisions.

Desirable:
* Post graduate management qualification
* 10 years' experience in the maintenance filed in heavy industry
* Practical experience in both the electrical and mechanical disciplines
* Project management experience
* Experience in WCM
* Proficiency in CMMS

Tasks and Outputs & duties but not limited to:
* Maintain an efficient and safe working environment for all employees
* Ensure compliance with organizational and legislative safety requirements by maintaining appropriate practices, standards and procedure
* Ensure that all procured and installed equipment and machinery complies with OHS act, regulations and applicable standards.
* Oversee maintenance activities to ensure safety, efficiency, quality control, budgetary control, service and cost-effective management of resources
* Initiate plans and processes to minimize maintenance costs through effective utilization of human resource, equipment, facilities, materials and capital
* Provide technical assistance to staff in plant maintenance and repairs
* Prepare reports, analyze data and make recommendations for improving plant and facilities
* Drive breakdowns investigation through the application of root cause analysis and other techniques
* Monitor and report on plant availability, utilization and other KPI's, (MTBF, MTTR etc.), business and group Apply Now
