Our client, a listed and leading plastics manufacturer based in Durban, serving customers and markets in South Africa, Africa and beyond, is looking for a Maintenance Planner to join their team to maintain all equipment pertinent to the production plants to ensure a consistent level of product quality & to ensure plant reliability. Key Performance Areas: Prepare job package and input plan into SAP indicating the required resources, materials, and services. Identify task activities necessary to execute job plan. Identify materials / tools / equipment required to perform tasks. Identify / solicit safety information and requirements necessary to safely perform tasks. Consider material costs when selecting materials from specifications. Review work orders for technical completeness . Carry out field check when needed. Record tasks / information within the work order. Identify resource requirements for the scheduled jobs using the job plans Build the "week schedule" making the most effective and efficient use of available resource and issuing the schedule. Monitors / reviews performance measures Requirements: Trade tested in Engineering field Maintenance experience in Heavy Industrial Equipment Proven experience n maintenance planning & scheduling using SAP maintenance system
