Maintenance Supervisor - Franschhoek
At least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a maintenance environment Experience in 2 or more of the following areas advantageous: Electrical & Refrigeration Carpentry Plumbing Airconditioning repair Heat Pump knowledge Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles Knowledge of safe working procedures of electrical tools and equipment Able to communicate with others accurately and timely to ensure speed and quality of service Excellent written and verbal skills. Well presented, neat and able to interact with guest. Self-motivated with the ability to think and work independently REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION: Grade 12- Matric Certificate Tertiary qualification in Vehicle mechanics or related field beneficial Electrical qualification or experience would be advantageous Valid Driver’s license Local Franschhoek candidates would be advantageous MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES : Co-ordinate the work of a team of Handymen to ensure that the facilities and equipment in and around all the properties are well maintained and in good working order. Responding to vehicle maintenance requests in the minimum possible time, or, within the timeframes set by the requesting department. Implement the preventative maintenance practices and schedules to ensure legislated and warrantee compliance. Manages the service schedules for all equipment, ensuring that service times are adhered to and service logs are maintained. Attend and participate in all training, including in safety, service, product knowledge, customer care and cultural awareness Follow all departmental and hotel, health, safety and security policies, processes, procedures and standards Liaising with suppliers and obtaining replacement or specialist components, fixtures or fittings. Managing stocks of equipment, consumables and other supplies. Daily reporting to the Facilities Manager
