Description Maintenance Supervisor (Diesel Mechanic) An exciting opportunity exists for a Qualified Diesel Mechanic who has the attributes to lead and manage a maintenance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for all Mechanical Maintenance. Duties and Responsibilities Regular inspections on equipment to identify hazards, defects or need for repair Complete equipment checks sheets as per manufactures requirements Capacity to take initiative off all projects Complete projects in the expected time frame Making schedules, assigning work and training employees Motivate employees to increase their productivity and meet work goals To ensure the proper maintenance of equipment, compliance with mechanical codes and adherence to safety regulations Responsible for mechanical systems installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and services as required Designing mechanical systems and equipment, as well as contributing to improved designs and manufacturing processes Report to maintenance manager any incidents. Attend to breakdowns Ensure adequate inventory, prioritize purchases, prepare cost estimates, and document their purchases Mechanical knowledge of machines, tools in factory environment Minimum Requirements Grade 12 Diesel Mechanic Trade Test Certificate 3-5 years' experience working as a qualified artisan Management/Supervisory experience Valid Driver's Licence Own transport Knowledge of mechanical maintenance and related universal best practices Knowledge of legislative and industry protocols and regulations that apply in maintenance Should you wish to be considered for this opportunity, please apply directly to the advertisement.
